My interest in technology began with an analog tape recorder I received as a gift when I was seven years old. I was fascinated with the plastic and metal box that would record my heartfelt renditions of Annie’s Tomorrow and play them back endlessly with the press of a button. Growing up during the shift from an analog to digital world instilled in me a passion for innovation and the ability to adapt easily to change. I was introduced to educational technology while pursuing a master’s degree in teaching. My fascination was reignited as I researched ways in which technology enhances learning by providing access and appealing to learners of diverse abilities and backgrounds. This experience changed the direction of my educational and professional goals from teaching and higher education administration to applied technology for teaching and learning.
